CPU-Z Asus Crashing Computers: A Frustrating Problem

As an Ubuntu user, I've been enjoying the flexibility and customization options that come with using Linux on my computer. However, recently, I've been experiencing a frustrating issue that's causing my system to shut down unexpectedly.

After restarting my computer, it initially boots up fine, allowing me to access the GRUB menu and even log in successfully. But as soon as I start running a program or task, my computer suddenly shuts down without warning. This problem has been getting progressively worse over time, with shutdowns becoming more frequent and unpredictable.

I've tried troubleshooting the issue on my own, searching for solutions online and scouring forums for answers. However, despite my best efforts, I haven't been able to find a solution that works. That's why I'm turning to the Ubuntu community for help.

A few months ago, I installed a new CPU chip and fan on my computer in an attempt to boost its performance. Unfortunately, this upgrade has coincided with the onset of these unexpected shutdowns. Prior to the CPU upgrade, my system was running smoothly, and I had no issues with stability or reliability.

In addition to the recent CPU upgrade, I've also been using a Ubuntu 11.04/Windows Vista dual boot setup for about three months now. While there's definitely a learning curve involved in using Linux, I've found it well worth the effort. The flexibility and customization options that come with using Linux have made my computing experience much more enjoyable.
